2025 Countdown Event
December 30, 2025 - January 2, 2026
Come spend your New Year's holidays at Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa, where guests of all ages, from adults to children, can have a wonderful time!
To liven up the excitement for the New Year's countdown, we'll be hosting our original live-stream quiz show, "Year-End Customer Appreciation Festival 2025," which you can answer right from your guest room using your smartphone! We'll be asking questions about Okinawa and inviting you to answer while you eat, look, and listen. This year, with cooperation from Yoshimoto Entertainment Okinawa, Yoshimoto comedians will host the show and keep the energy high!
In addition, a traditional Eisa dance performance by a youth association and a spectacular fireworks display will take place at the Garden Pool, offering a unique countdown experience you won't find anywhere else.
Throughout the New Year's holiday, we have even more activities planned, including the "New Year's Day Shishimai" (Lion Dance), featuring Okinawa's distinct lion wrapped in basho fiber. You can also join in on mochitsuki (rice pounding), enjoy complimentary sake, and listen to a Sanshin live performance. The group "Rokka," made up of young professionals, will showcase the beautiful Ryukyu Dance—a perfect celebration to mark the start of the Okinawan New Year. We'll even be hosting a New Year's first swim event in our heated Garden Pool, one of the largest in the prefecture!
