As a new means of transportation in preparation for the summer tourist season, Okinawa Cellular Telephone Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Yasuaki Miyakura, hereinafter referred to as Okinawa Cellular) and J-Tech Corporation will partner to offer the smart e-bicycle rental service "GREEN RIDE OKINAWA" from Friday, May 16, 2025.

"GREEN RIDE OKINAWA," a smart e-rental bicycle service provided by Okinawa Cellular, is the first smart e-rental bicycle service originating in Okinawa. It's an electric mobility option that anyone can easily use with just a smartphone, no driver's license required. With a multilingual app, reservations and payments are simple, making it accessible to international visitors as well as people of all ages. One full charge allows for approximately 70km of travel*, making it convenient for sightseeing around Nago City and for quick errands. Furthermore, because it doesn't emit CO2, you can enjoy your travels while being mindful of Okinawa's environment.

Additionally, with the start of rentals at our hotel, we've prepared recommended model courses for Nago City: the "Nago Bay Enjoyment Course (Beginner)" and the Okinawa Prefecture (Sports Island Okinawa) recommended "Nago Cycling Course (Advanced)." You can fully enjoy a cycling trip in Okinawa while gazing at the beautiful coastline that stretches across Nago Bay. We anticipate that this service will become a well-established secondary transportation option to "JUNGLIA OKINAWA," which is scheduled to open in July 2025.

GREEN RIDE is a smart e-bicycle rental service operated by J Tech that uses electric mobility vehicles made in Okinawa for tourism. Electrically assisted bicycles can be easily rented from ports (bicycle parking areas) installed at tourist facilities by operating a dedicated app. GREEN RIDE incorporates mechanisms to improve the convenience of transportation, providing smooth and comfortable use. Users can choose the appropriate means of transportation according to the situation, and the operator aims to provide a safer and more efficient service. In addition, based on user feedback, we aim to provide a more comfortable transportation experience. All mobility vehicles used by GREEN RIDE are manufactured at JOeB Tech's Okinawa factory. The body of the vehicle is made of high-quality parts, including high-strength aluminum material manufactured by UACJ, achieving both durability and light weight. In addition, by applying powder coating using our proprietary technology, we have achieved a safe and sustainable manufacturing process that reduces the emission of harmful substances and takes into consideration not only the environment but also the health of the staff involved in the production.
