Hotel Management Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ebisu, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Director: Junichi Araki) offers a “Showa Retro” menu that combines nostalgia and newness at four facilities of the hotel chain brand “Oriental Hotels & Resorts”. The Showa Retro Buffet will be held from Saturday, July 1, 2023 to Thursday, August 31, 2023.

This event will be held at Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay (Chiba Prefecture), Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel (Hyogo Prefecture), Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa (Okinawa Prefecture), and Okinawa Harbor View (Okinawa Prefecture) simultaneously as the 2nd cross-hotel fair of Oriental Hotels & Resorts. The lineup includes menus that were served at Western restaurants and coffee shops in the good old days of the Showa era (70s & 80s). We have prepared a large number of items that combine nostalgia and newness and present them in a fresh way for generations who didn't live in the Showa era. This buffet is perfect for families who are considering a family trip to Kanto, Kansai, or Okinawa during the summer vacation season from July to August.

Hamburg steak made from wagyu beef with classic demi-glace sauce and Napolitan, a spaghetti dish created in Japan and prepared with the originality of each hotel chef, are examples of what will be served. In addition, Kobe High Curry, the traditional taste of the former Oriental Hotel which led the Western food culture in Kobe, will be topped with a pork cutlet. Other Showa retro menu items such as the classic dessert “Pudding a la Mode” will be served (depending on the hotel).

For this limited time we are offering a drink menu that presents the nostalgia of the Showa period (70s & 80s) such as Asahi Draft Beer Maru F and Asahi Draft Beer Black Draft which have been popular since they were created in 1986.
